BFOA - About Us

The Broward Football Official's Association is proud to be the inaugural recipient of the Florida High School Athletic Association's Association Of The Year award. We were the first official's association in Florida to embrace the Internet and establish a website in 1998. The purpose of our website is to:

	Improve communication with our members
	Get feedback from the organizations we service
	Recognize achievements by our members
	Enhance the value our association provides

The Broward Football Official's Association, officiates football games for all levels of competition from youth league to high school varsity contests throughout Broward County, Florida.

All our officials (approximately 140 in 2007) are registered with the Florida High School Athletic Association the governing body for high school athletics in the state of Florida.

We welcome new members, and transferring officials from other areas that have relocated to Broward County. We offer training sessions for new officials, in addition to the clinics offered by the the FHSAA. See the meetings page for a complete schedule. For more information send an email to membership.

We meet generally on Monday nights 7:00 PM during the fall at South Plantation High School, 1300 Paladin Way, Plantation, FL in the auditorium. Map to South Plantation
